After making an application to the WEA working with the Education Skills Funding Agency, we have been successful in receiving funding from the European Social Fund to carry out our next exciting venture, Plan Your Pathway.

Our course aims to support Greater Manchester during these difficult times to reach members of our community who are unemployed or at risk of redundancy due to the unstable job market during the Global Covid-19 Pandemic.
Our locations for the exams will be within the Greater Manchester area and will be chosen so students have ease of access. Locations for exams have been thoroughly risk assessed and are fully COVID-secure. The majority of the courses will be taught by means of distance learning to ensure the safety of our staff and learners.
To remove social and economic barriers to success, all our participants will receive transport costs for exam modules, and on successful completion of the course, a FREE Amazon Kindle Fire with links to aid them with job searches.
This bespoke course has been designed to give participants entering the workplace gain confidence, skills and knowledge.
Day 1
- Introduction
Will include a welcome and introduction to tutors and support staff, an outline of the course and learning modules, and details of qualifications
- Module 1 - Motivation and Personal Development
- Module 2 - Career boost
- Module 3 - Job Sectors
- Module 4 - Dealing with your first day at work
- Module 5 - Health and Wellbeing at Work
- Choice of two accredited qualifications from the following list
· QNUK Level 2 Health and Safety in the workplace
· QNUK Level 2 The Principles of Manual Handling
· QNUK Level 2 Food Safety in Catering
· QNUK Level 2 Customer Service
· QNUK Level 2 Safeguarding Adults in Health and Social Care
Exam dates and locations will be confirmed when these are safe to go ahead.
To be eligible learners must be able to access the internet with a platform capable of running Zoom, be aged 18 or over and resident in Greater Manchester, be unemployed, economically inactive or at risk of redundancy, be legally resident in the UK and can take up paid employment within the EU.
